It's up, it's running, and we'll be in the air in just over 72 hours. How is that possible? Where did this month go?! I feel like it was last week we were holed up, drinking beer in Lubec, ME. But, alas, that is not the case. Getting out of Maine proved to be much more of an adventure than we first thought. Three hours into our ten hour drive down to NJ, Baby (my car) decided she had had enough, and broke down on the side of I-95. Four days, two hotels, and a snowstorm later, we were back on the road. Cutting our days in NJ in half, it was a quick trip filled with friends, family, and prep for our ATW trip. Thinking we've gotten all the bad luck out of the way, we set off for the airport excited for our first official leg of the journey. No. Such. Luck. Missed our flight due to traffic and the insane fact that our flight took off early!
In LA, the warm sunshine soothing our souls, we're calmed and nearly ready. Errands are run, purchases made, clothes are being packed, and *hopefully* the travel gods will be with us now. Our first stop in Bangkok. In the meantime, we're open to suggestions for ritualistic offerings for the travel gods.

Good luck loves. Have amazing adventures and the trip of a lifetime. What a beautiful way to start your marriage. xoxo
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on posting the blog. I find them so much more enjoyable then face book. You are missed in Lubec. The pub scene isn't the same without you. I regret I didn't see Annie's art or get to probe James for more thoughts on medical ethics. Ukey's framing for Jack so I have that little window. We are so glad that Lubec was part of your travels and hope you come back.
ReplyDeleteHi guys! I finally figured out how to create a Google account on the 6th try, phew!!! I wish you the very best on your grand adventure. Oddly enough I picked up a clearance book at Borders titled "Morbid Curiosity Cures the Blues" and read an article by Jessica Eisner "Happy Trails in Southeast Asia." What I learned: stay away from falling durians, don't eat durian while sampling the local alcoholic beverages, and betel nut is good for your teeth and produces a slightly altered state of consciousness. Happy traveling! Love, Annalisa & Autumn too!
ReplyDeleteWe still are having problems posting a comment. Let's see if this works. Mom and Dad
